I suppose the month remaining will be good for that. I'm hoping my other 3 treksters will join me in cataloguing the events leading up to our departure (early June), and our subsequent caravan from New York to Portland.
Jared and I are spending a week away from New York, enjoying the unseasonably hot weather in Vermont and New Hampshire and watching our 11 lb. cockapoo get mauled by Hilary's smiley Shih Tzu and Susan's behemoth Golden Retriever. Charley swam for the first (eight) times when we dunked him into the creek behind Hilary and Kevin's house and Phil's pond against his will. Dan's theory: "All dogs can swim. They just start running in the water and that's the doggy paddle." Good point, even for wussy city dogs.
After a few tense moments wondering if the Golden (Miles, 64 lbs.) and Charley would be compatible, we hiked Blueberry mountain in the sunshine. Short of stopping-from-a-full-speed-run-down-a-ledge skills, the boys did pretty well.

More soon, when things actually start happening.
